Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is an international higher education institution, jointly founded by Xi’an Jiaotong University, China and the University of Liverpool, UK in 2006 as the result of a strong-strong cooperation. As an independent Sino-Foreign cooperative university, it captures the essence of both prestigious parent universities and is the first and only one of its kind to be approved by the Ministry of Education in China. The University offers undergraduate degrees in the fields of economics and management, finance, mathematics, science, electrical engineering, computing and industrial design, languages and communication, and built environment (architecture, urban planning, and civil engineering).
