After completing basics of CAT syllabus, they hardly understand what they should do next? Make Reading A Daily Habit:

After you have understood the basic concepts, it’s time to test your skills in a real-time simulation. Take mock tests that simulate the environment of actual test and follow a similar pattern of questions. These tests will help you to understand your current level of preparations and also, the actual mode of this test. Apart from these mock tests, solve the previous year papers.

Analyze the Results:

After taking mock tests or solving previous year papers, you must analyze your answers by comparing them with the explanations provided. If there are certain questions that you couldn’t solve in spite of knowing their concepts, you should get back to your study material and revise these concepts properly. This way, you can improve your current level of preparation and substantiate your conceptual clarity and knowledge.

Work On Increasing The Speed:

This is crucial to becoming successful in CAT. Hence, you should work hard to improve your speed by devising your own shortcut methods. Learn all the important formulae, tables, and theorems. Some sections of Quant do not allow a calculator. So, improve your speed of doing calculations like square roots and cube roots with regular practice. You can learn the nuances of time management through the mock tests.

Maintain Accuracy:

Even while preparing for CAT, you must lay impetus on improving your accuracy levels. Remember, CAT has a negative marking pattern that can cost you dearly if you don’t try to improve the level of accuracy in your attempts.
