If you are gunning for a business management program, you might want to start preparing for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The exam opens doors to over 6000 programs in 112 countries. The standardized exam is owned by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). GMAT is a top choice exam for MBA applicants worldwide.
What is the GMAT:
The GMAT is composed of four sections – Quantitative, Verbal, Writing and Integrated Reasoning. The exam is computer adaptive which means that it adjust to the specific user’s test taking ability. This means that the exam experience varies for every test taker. The exam is offered all year round (except weekends and public holidays) at specific exam centers worldwide. The exam duration is 3 hours 30 minutes.
The composite GMAT scores are available on a 200-800 point scale. The Integrated Reasoning section and the Analytical Writing Assessment are not included in the composite score but are graded on different scales separately. B-schools tend to focus more on the composite GMAT score. A very good score is in the range of 700 and above.
