Tell us a bit about your background: city, school and college you went to, work experience if any.

I am from Mumbai, India, though I completed my schooling and college from Mangalore University. I started my career at Dell as a customer service representative and worked there for 7 years. I was a quality coach when I left Dell to join a startup as an Executive assistant to the CEO of the company. After working there for 15 months, I moved on to assist the former MD and president of Time Inc. India for about a year. I’m currently married and settled in the US.  🙂

What are your aspirations for the future?
I have always wanted to become a doctor. Unfortunately, I did not study well enough to get good scores in my 12th standard and in turn settled for a Bachelor’s in Biology and Chemistry. Since I have a lot of free time in hand now, I want to pick up where I left off. Having realized that studying medicine might be time consuming, MS in health care was my next choice. For me, it was always about taking care of patients; I could either do it as a doctor or as a Healthcare Administrator. I chose the latter.

How has QS LEAP helped you in the past weeks/months towards your preparation?

Math & Physics have always been my pain points. So when I started to prep for GRE, none of the questions made sense to me. Though the math here involves nothing but basic high school geometry, algebra, number properties and permutations, I could never move past my fear for numbers. I tried various available websites to make things easier and fun, but nothing seemed to work. Then I came across QS LEAP. What I liked about this website was that the solutions explained were simple to understand for a mathematically challenged person. To summarise, this website is not only designed for mathematical pros but also for a person like me to whom numbers make no sense at times. It helped boost my confidence tremendously. What I also like about QS LEAP is the presence of mentors on the platform, who respond to queries instantly and are always eager to help.

What would be your study/prep tips for fellow candidates on QS LEAP?

Never give up. “When the going gets tough, the tough get going” (Philosophical, I know, but I think it’s true.) 🙂
