Intro to lines, line segments, and rays

Geometry is the branch of mathematics that deals with the measurements, properties and relationships of different geometrical figures such as points, lines, triangles and circles among others.

A point is essentially a dot which represents a location in geometry. It does not have any length, breadth and depth. A line is composed of points which go infinitely in both directions. Line contains only one dimension of length. A plane extends infinitely in two dimensions. An angle is formed when two lines (or rays) diverge from a common point which is known as the vertex.
