A score of 155 on the LSAT is a classic ‘in-between’ score. While the score is not too low, it will also not put you in the cream of LSAT test takers. An LSAT score of 155 can at best be classified as an average score which will put you in the hunt for a decent law school.
The LSAT is scored on a scale of 120-180. This means the highest score on an LSAT is 180 while the lowest possible score is 120. Now, let us look at a score range, say 150-160. If you score a 150 on the LSAT, you will get a percentile rank of around 44%. On the other hand, if you get a 160, your percentile ranks jumps to around 80%. This indicates that the majority of the test takers score somewhere around this mark.
Clearly then, even a few extra points can add to your percentile rank. As a test taker, your endeavour should be to score as high as possible. If you have scored around 150 or lesser, it greatly reduces your chances of admission at a good law school. Students with such low scores need to make sure that they have a killer profile, GPA and recommendations if they want acceptance in the same year.

On the other hand, if you score around 160 or more, you have given yourself the best chance to succeed. While it does not guarantee admission to the best law schools in the US, it greatly improves your chances if you have a stellar profile to back it up with.
If you have scored around 155, there is really no need to worry. Most of your fellow test takers will fall in this range. The best chances for someone who has scored in this middle range lies in getting a score towards the higher end of the spectrum. Even 2-3 points can make a lot of difference. Of course, students with these average scores need to offset it by working on their profile. If you are not satisfied with this score, there is always the option of retaking the LSAT. There are many law schools which will accept students in this score range. Your strategy will completely depend on your target law schools and career goals.
So, while the LSAT is not the sole factor for admission at a decent law school, it is quite an important one. Work hard and try to score as high as possible. Remember that if you are gunning for a scholarship, a high score will improve your chances. While 155 may not be a horrible score, there is always room for improvement.
