Quite a lot, actually! Admissions to Columbia, as you would expect, are extremely competitive. To be confident of a seat here, you need to be atleast 172+ in your LSAT along with a GPA > 3.7.
As is the case with many law schools, the university itself has given no clear direction on the minimum LSAT or GPA scores needed for admission. The school states on its website:

“There is no minimum undergraduate GPA or LSAT score in the consideration process for admission to Columbia Law School. For the 2014 entering class, the median undergraduate GPA was 3.71 and the median LSAT score was 172.
Although academic achievements and performance on the LSAT are clearly relevant to the selection process, we strongly emphasize that admission to the Law School is based on a variety of quantitative and qualitative factors contained in your application, not solely on either grades or test scores.”
In the absence of a clear minimum score, scoring more than the median LSAT score of 172 and getting a GPA above 3.71 is your best chance for admission to Columbia. Personal statements and letters of recommendation also play an important part in admissions.
Furthermore, it will be helpful if you take the LSAT early enough. Regarding this year’s admission process, Columbia states:
“For the 2014-2015 admissions cycle, we will accept scores from the February 2015 LSAT. As we have in past cycles, the Admissions Committee strongly encourages applicants to take the LSAT no later than the December test administration and to complete their applications earlier rather than later in the cycle.
Taking the February LSAT will not harm your chances of admission. However, please be advised that we review applications on a rolling basis; therefore, sitting for the February test administration may place you at a strategic disadvantage. In order to maximize your standing, you should submit all other components of the application as soon as possible before the February 27, 2015 deadline and indicate in the materials that you are registered to take the February LSAT.”
Do not be at a ‘strategic disadvantage by taking the February LSAT. Try taking the exam soon so that you can send in your applications within the required timelines. LSAT scores taken within 5 years are considered valid for admission at Columbia Law School.
