If law school is your dream destination, then consider the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) as your final frontier. Conducted by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), the exam is an integral part of admissions at law schools in the US and some other countries. So, if you are gunning for colleges such as Yale or Harvard, you need an extremely high score in the test.
LSAT Structure
It tests law school applicants on reading comprehension and reasoning proficiencies. It is comprised of five 35-minute multiple choice sections containing Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension problems. Out of the five, there is one unscored section which is used to test out new questions. Test takers have to also take a 35 minute essay at the end of the test.

The raw test scores are scaled to a low of 120 and a high of 180. The test duration is 3 hour and 30 minutes. You can retake the test if you did not do well the first time round but not more than three times in a two-year period.

Timeline
LSAC administers the test four times in a year – February, June, October and December. Application deadlines are typically one month before the test. The cost of taking the LSAT is $170 along with some other fees.
