SAT New Score Release Policies

The College Board has released SAT new score release policies. The good news for test takers is that they can receive their SAT scores faster, starting this October. Typically, the College Board will release the SAT scores would take four to six weeks after the exam. Under the new guidelines, you will get your SAT scores two weeks after the test day.

However, keep in mind that the new guidelines apply to SAT taken in the months of October, November, December, March and May. For August and June, the SAT scores will take up to six weeks to be released. The SAT essay scores will be released five days after test takers receive the scores for evidence-based reading and writing and math sections. The students will receive an email when their SAT scores are available. The scores will be sent to colleges within days after they are made available to the test takers.

These changes apply to SAT Subject tests as well. Similar to the SAT, October, November, December and May subject test scores will be released within two weeks of the exam. August and June subject test scores will take up to six weeks to be released.
