The New SAT has come into being since March this year and it is the biggest change the test has gone through in 30 years. While the content of the New SAT remains fairly similar, there are big changes with the way the concepts are tested, and steps students have to take to solve problems.
While earlier SAT had you score on a scale of 2400, test takers will now be scored on a scale of 1600. That makes a score of 1000 an average score for students. Those who want to make it to the top 25% and into the top colleges will have to score around 1200.
